The adjustable design makes it easy to get a perfect fit, and the swivel ring prevents tangling. The collar has helped my dog learn to walk on a loose leash much faster. While it may look intimidating, it's actually very gentle when used correctly. I highly recommend this collar for anyone struggling with leash pulling or other behavioral issues.

I previously used only collars like this of a brand made in Germany. They are made perfectly - no rough edges, strong metal that doesn't corrode, etc. But they are pricey. This collar is a good and solid alternative. I do not find the metal to be significantly thinner than the German collar and the prongs feel about the same, though the ends are rounded a little better on the German collar. But since you are not paying German made prices for this one, it is a good alternative. I use these on our very big dogs who otherwise would not even notice that you pulled on their collar to get them away from something. Our dogs range in size from 86-125 pounds.

This collar seems to be well made but my dogs trainer told me after I ordered it that the prongs are too big. She said that no matter the size of the dog, they still need small prongs so I won’t be using this one for training but may be able to after training is complete and she behaves on leash better.

My dog has one & its (the links) are about 1". Some are missing, so I order this in hopes for an extra link or so,and even tho they are about 1" they are much thicker & heavier. She weighs approx 75 lbs, so this would be a dog about 85- 100 lbs.She could wear if I removed several links. It's so hard to buy things like this without seeing them in person. She can wear, so I'm keeping it, but I just can't switch out links if one of her “current” collar gets lost for some reason.I wish these were sized like by weight or weight & 1, 2, 3 & 4.3- could be 65--80 lbs Med.4- 80-100 lbs Heavy links. Also, I may add these collars are NOT for all dogs! My Boy, I put one on him and he yelped! He had a soft neck & no need for this. My Dog before him was high-strung (like my current girl) Ex police Reject, and she had to have it, just like my dog now. Each dog is different & must be evaluated properly. I recently went to “re-evaluate” her with a "slip chain" aka choke chain, and she was fine until the morning we saw a coyote and I had a hard time controlling her.No chain collar, slip chain or "pinch collar" Or a Regular ID collar should ever been tight on their necks!A regular collar (not for training, ID tags/rabies tags collar, should be loose enough to put 2 fingers but not slip off their heads. But you want it able to slip off if the dog were to get stuck somewhere. They have break away collars for that. Those are not for training a dog. This slip collar & pinch collars are "training only "and not for leaving them out in the yard with them on etc. The Dog is always under your supervision.Should always be worn loose using the "sound of the collar", more than action except, in confrontations when you absolutely need to get the dog OUT asap. They should always be loose, your dog at "heel" on the L side or at sit on L side.Teach your dog basic obedience, like Sit, Stay, down, Heel. Teaching your dog good manners is part of being a good dog owner. And always pick up the poop. That is part of your responsibility, your dog can't do it. You have to, so, always carry a couple of Amazon poop bags, you never know when you may need one, make it a habit. And don't forget, when you get home & take off the leash/collar, praise your dog & tell them what a "Good boy/girl" they are & pet them!!They are family! They are our "Furkids"!Be a good dog owner...
