It’s well built yet portable unlike my C stand set up. I know I will incorporate this arm with my easier to use light stands ( small strobes) and use it as an extension held by hand.

The bar is very sturdy. The material feels very solid. The counterweight is awesome. I use water bottles and put it in the bag that is provided. Overall great value.

The secret to using any photo accessory is to understand and accept the limitations of the tool, then stay within those limits. This is not a boom I’d strap a big flash or heavy LED onto, but to hold a speed light or small LED, it’s perfect!I had a commission that required a small, tubular RGB-LED light held overhead and out of the way for a specific lighting effect. The space was tight so none of my bigger booms could be used. The LINCO boom was the right tool for the right job and preformed flawlessly.Welcome to the rabbit hole of grip gear. Just when you think you have everything you’ll ever need a project comes along to prove otherwise. Resistance is futile.

Creo que por el uso este brazo debería ser de metal, para cosas ligeras funciona bien.

This thing is a beast! In my home studio I've only got for normal sized stands there pretty much come with strobes that aren't the best quality and then I've got two heavy-duty ones that I purchased. Until I can make a little more money with my photography one of the area's I cut Corners is with my scans. Because I invested in linzess first and then by the time you buy your backdrops you're sinking equipment your strobes or softbox is excetera excetera you can be $10,000 in the hole. And I went over that. But I do have great lenses to last me many many years to come. I have a few nice Kate backdrops that are on decent stands and for my strobes I have not the best dance. But until I can invest in a good set of stands which is next on my list I wanted something that I could do overhead lighting or help with product photography. This was perfect! Let me tell you this thing is of great quality. Also instead of buying sand or whatever to put into the pouch that comes with it my wife has nice little 2 lb dumbbell weights for her aerobics that she never uses they were sitting in the closet and I just put one of those and the pouch. No fuss no mess. And they are absolutely work perfectly! I really love this and I'm very happy with my purchase. If you're hesitating. Don't! You will love this!! WORKS GREAT!!

First off, I was an idiot and did not realize that the light pole did not come with the stand until received the pole and looked it up again on Amazon. So my review has nothing to do with that because I apparently found out that day I can’t read well. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Order the stands when you order the pole.Cons of this pole: the hardware (screws and joints) are made of what feels like cheap plastic. This stand will last in your studio where is is constantly set up in one place, but don’t take it on the road with you where you have to break it down and put it up many times. Also, I wouldn’t recommend putting actual sand in the sandbag because all it is is a nylon back with a little piece of Velcro on top. As soon as I saw it, I immediately imagined this bag falling off and sand going everywhere. I’ll use something else heavy (like a weight) to put in the bag.Pros: the pole itself feels sturdy and looks like some good material was used to construct it. It extends easily and the back just simply clips to a rope on the back of the pole with a little carabiner. Once my light stands arrive, I will set it up to use as a hair light for my green screen and probably won’t break it down for a while. If you’re doing studio work where you’ll be leaving this up, then this product will work for you. If you travel a lot and need something like this, then I suggest finding something else that’s sturdier than this light pole.
