UPDATE:Since my initial review, I reached out to the seller - who provided me with an updated firmware which directly addressed the issue described below. Enclosure now works as expected.Great drive enclosure - with one caveat:I purchased this due to the fact that the product description states that the sleep function can be disabled. After multiple attempts to do so, it still goes to sleep - no matter what.The firmware flash tool states successful removal of the 10-minute spindown timer, but it still occurs.I'm using it in a Linux server environment, and the enclosure's firmware even overrides HDPARM.Performance is very good with very fast transfer speeds - I have simultaneously streamed multiple 4k video files from this enclosure without issue.My concern is the constant spin-up/spin-down of the HDD I installed inside this enclosure as it's a server-grade drive which is meant to remain spinning 24/7.

Installed a hard drive and connected to a computer via USB 3 to do nightly back-ups. Works fine.

I purchased this External 3.5 enclosure for a 6TB Drive. It's works perfectly. The enclosure has a sellSeparate hard Drive stand for those that need have the Hard drive Enclosure to stand vertically. I would definitely recommend this Enclosure.

It's pretty great. Inexpensive, and functions as it should. I've had far more expensive enclosures that don't have a sleep function. The design is simple and effective. The combo USB 3 to USB and USB-C cable is neat and clever.
