This SDS-Max bit is solidly built and functions well in concrete. I fortunately havent hit rebar yet so can't speak to what happens when you do - but it is torquey enough as it is.Long enough to get through an average stem wall, short enough to minimize the amount you have to dig back to get the hammer drill in place.Well functioning large diameter hammer drill bit.

This drill bit looks every bit as solid and capable os any of the leading brands or SDS bits. The carbide blades are solidly welded into the bit, the spiral edges of the bit are fairly sharp and well carved. I drilled a hole in a concrete foundation for a 1" pvc pipe to pass through and it worked just like any other premium SDS bit. For those of you that have bought smaller cheap masonry bits, you know those cheap ones that come it a kit, or as single items and you drill 1 hole through some tile (maybe not even 1 complete hole) and that carbide tip falls out or basically deteriorates to nothing, this bit is not like that. Now, I know that's comparing apples to oranges comparing an SDS bit to those cheap tile bits but I wondered myself if, due to its price, it was made like those cheap tile bits. I can tell you it's not. This is a genuine SDS bit made of, what appears to be, exact specs of the big name SDS bits.At roughly $45 compared to say a Milwaukee at about $120 it's a no brainer. I mean you can get 2.5 of these for the price of one of the big brands and from what I can see they are exactily the same. Now, as far as longevity, it does appear it will last a very long time, just like any other top brand SDS bits. I've only used it 2x to drill through poured concrete. Both times it tore through that concrete like butter (or at least as easily as drilling through concrete can be). One of these holes is described above, the 2nd hole was in a poured concrete floor, 4" thick. The bit doesn't appear to have suffered any wear from both drilled holes but of course it's coated in dust.Just for some foundational knowledge I have worked in commercial and residential construction on and off for decades. I have a Milwalkee SDS drill that I've used for decades, it's beat to heck at this point but it still works perfectly. I've drilled hundreds, maybe thousands of holes through stone, concrete or similar.Overall, this purchase is a no brainer. Its a great product at an equally great price. Even if it wears down after 50+ holes it was less then half the price of major brands, however, it does appear to be of the exact same quality so my guess... It will be in my bag of large bits for a very long time to come. At this price I think I'll go out into my garage, dig through my bag of bits, toss all the beat-up ones and buy replacements. Genuine good stuff here. For me to give a 5 star rating it's got to be an exceptional product at a great price, and this tool does seem to fit that category.

As a participant in Amazon Vine, I recently had the chance to evaluate this 1-inch SDS Max hammer drill bit for a home renovation project. I hope to offer some insights that may assist potential buyers in their decision-making.I found this drill bit to be compatible with my Bauer (Harbor Freight) SDS Max hammer drill, and it performed commendably for my needs. It effectively bored holes in the concrete slab for large anchor bolts, leaving clean results. The two-flute design was particularly beneficial, as it efficiently cleared concrete dust from the holes during the drilling process. While it is still early to comment definitively on its long-term durability, I am pleased to report that the tip of the tool remains in good condition after completing ten holes. Only time and continued use will provide a clearer picture of its longevity. In conclusion, I have a favorable impression of this hammer drill bit. Although professionals may lean towards premium brands such as Bosch, Milwaukee, or DeWalt, I see this as a solid option for DIY enthusiasts seeking a cost-effective solution. There is value in achieving satisfactory results without substantial expenditure, and I would encourage potential buyers to consider this drill bit as a viable alternative within the marketplace.

I got this to compare to the Bosch bits I have been using to drill my anchor holes for ATM installations. This seemed to work just as well and maybe even better cutting through the concrete than the Bosch ones I normally use. Only issue I have is its length, I wish I could get an 8"-10" of this same product as I don't need but a bit about that size. I haven't seen what it does hitting rebar yet but when it does I will update to include that experience. I use a Bosch BullDog and and SDS plus brushless hammer drills. Before you get this make sure it is compatible to your drill as SDS-Plus and SDS-Max are not interchangeable.
