I purchased two of these to assist in the removal of granite countertops. My main concern was how thin was the small end of the wedge. After looking at many different wedges online I decided on this one because it appeared to be the best one for what I needed. I wanted one that could be “easily” driven between the counter and base cabinet. Bingo they worked perfectly.

Tried it the first time wedging it between steel plates adhesived together. It took a beating, didn't chip the tip or scratch it up. It held up to industrial maintenance so far.

I have been splitting some seriously hard and knotty walnut rounds and using standard splitting wedges were impossible. The extremely hard material these are made out of and with how long and thin they are, they make the perfect splitting wedge for very dry and hard wood rounds.I use a 5 pound hand sledge and 4 of these wedges to chase cracks in the rounds at the same time, allowing me to split rounds that otherwise would require a hydraulic splitter. These wedges are also made of extremely durable and hard steel that doesn't deform under the most extreme use. It took weeks of constant extremely heavy use before I needed to clean up slight mushrooming from constant abuse. 10/10 absolutely worth the money and I will buy more!
