First time I have bought a pair of these toe-shoes, or whatever is the right name for them, but I am totally loving them. I wear size shoe/sneaker of 9.5 typically although 9 fits fine usually too.I went with size 9-9.5 for these, and have been wearing them barefoot (no toe socks for me yet) and I feel it works very well. Took them out hiking on the cliff trails in our hometown (Fort Lee NJ / across from GW bridge), and then also to a lakehouse retreat for work and wore them most of the time along with my flip flops when just quickly going out and not needing actual shoes.These are wonderful on all surfaces so far for me, even some jogging on pavement, grass, gravel, rock steps, dirt/roots, etc.I feel I can just wash and let sun dry here and there and won't go with socks as then they might be snug?The only two feedbacks I can think of are...1) putting them on is a bit PITA as you have to get your toes to go into the right "toes" of the shoe. I have it where I have to try a few times each time. Eventually though once all are in the right place, fits great...2) once fitting great, the dealing with shoe-laces for me is not ideal. I will google some options to have it be more seamless / no lacing needed if possible.

This was my fourth Five Fingers shoes in 10 years - they last a long time. The join between sole and upper just behind the left pinkie toe was sort of folded. This gave me a blister on that knuckle. I didn't have the problem with the other foot, or with the earlier shoes. I can wear these for 30 minutes barefoot, or an hour with toe socks. It's better, I think to buy these shoes from walk in shops (as I did with the earlier pairs).

Die Schuhe machen einen guten Eindruck, größe (42) passt auch. Sie sind zwar recht eng beim anziehen, Zehen sortieren sich aber fast automatisch. Die Sohle verspricht guten gripp, muß sich aber erst noch bewähren. Wasserdicht sind sie natürlich nicht, was aber auch klar sein sollte, wenn man sich über die Schuh informiert hat!

Ich gehe relativ häufig und gern Wandern.Da ist zwischen 6 und 30 Kilometer so ziemlich alles dabei.Schon lange reift in mir der Gedanke des echten Barfuß-Wanderns, also, back to the roots.Fast genau so lange überlege ich, mir Barfuß-Schuhe als ersten Schritt quasi, zuzulegen.Versand, Verpackung - wie immer top.Nach dem Auspacken habe ich die Schuhe eine Woche auslüften lassen. Und das, obwohl sie nicht gerochen haben!Beim ersten Anziehen hatte ich auch die Probleme, die andere beschreiben, es dauerte bestimmt 10 min, bis ich alle Zehen (unter ständigem Fluchen) ordnungsgemäß in ihre jeweilige Hülle untergebracht hatte.Bei allen nachfolgenden Anziehvorgängen funktioniert das wesentlich schneller und einfacher.Bewusst habe ich mich für die Variante mit Schnürsenkeln entschieden, ich finde dies besser als die Schnellverschlüsse. Das Material macht einen strapazierfähigen Eindruck, bis jetzt kann ich keine Beschädigungen, auch nach ansdpruchsvollem EInsatz, feststellen.Die erste Wanderung in den Schuhen ging über ca. 13 km. Untergrund - Wiesenboden, Wanderweg, Schotterweg am Fluss, steiniger Bergweg, Straße. So konnte ich die verschiedensten Untergründe EINDRÜCKLICH erleben.Und ich war von Anfang hellauf begeistert!Dieses Gefühl nahezu ungefilterten Untergrundes am Fuß, diese Freiheit, da im Fußballenbereich der Fuß nicht mehr eingeengt ist (im Vergleich zu Wanderschuhen) - einzigartig.Ja, man lernt Laufen quasi wieder neu. Aber das um so bewusster um das "unter einem".Mittlerweile haben die Schuhe deutsche Mittelgebirge kennengelernt sowie die Alpen.Maximaleinsatz bis jetzt 18 km, jedoch musste ich bei dieser Wanderung auf den Kilometern danach auf Wanderschuhe wechseln, da ich mir irgendwo durch Reibung auf losen Steinen auf ca. 6 km Anstieg eine Blase an der Ferse gerieben hatte. Ich gehe aber davon aus, dass bei einer entsprechenden Laufvorbereitung derart anspruchsvollen Geländes (also, schon mal vorher ein bis zwei Wochen darin permanent Laufen und Wandern) das nicht aufgetreten wäre.Die Sohle ist ausreichend stabil und sehr griffig, ich denke, um die 1.500 km wird sie schon durchhalten, gut, wahrscheinlich nicht auf scharfkantigen Kalkfelsen.Ich bin weiterhin begeistert, meine Erwartungen an das Laufen in diesen Schuhen wurden übererfüllt.
