Seller Vifaniv lists the "TT03XL Battery for HP EliteBook 755 G5 /850 G5 /850 G6, ZBook 15U G5 /15U G6 Series 933322-855 932824-421 932824-1C1 932824-2C1 HSTNN-LB8H HSTNN-DB8K 11.55V 56Wh 4850mAh" among other battery and personal-care (e.g. neck cooler) products it offers for sale. This TT03XL-clone battery arrived in a flat cardboard box, with a good piece of clear plastic serving as padding for the battery. Also included are no less than FOUR tools: a bag of 3 fixed-head screwdrivers, and a screwdriver with four interchangeable tools. My first impression was very positive, this package looks nice and thorough. Then it all went downhill.Turned out that the screwdriver with interchangeable heads is completely UNUSABLE: the shaft cannot hold any of the heads at all. Tightening the retention ring to the fullest has no effect: the shaft is too lose and cannot grip the heads; the moment you point any driver head down, it falls right out. The other fixed-head screwdrivers were fine.Installing the battery was easy; it fit the compartment perfectly, and all the screw holes lined up just fine. Then I began my testing procedure: I charged it to 100%, let it sit for two nights, and saw that it retained 99% of voltage, so it holds a charge. Once I booted the laptop with Windows 11, I chose all settings for maximum energy saving: reduce screen brightness, disable apps I do not want running in the background, turn off BlueTooth, etc. Win 11 indicated it drained from 99% to 71% in 32 minutes of light use. Then after another 50 minutes of light use (just typing text and configuring apps, no gaming or watching videos), this Vifaniv battery performed the now-ubiquitous downward leap of death, dropping from 72% to 7%. After another 10 minutes or so, laptop detected battery is critical, and hibernated. I recharged back to 100%, repeated the usage pattern, saw the same behavior. To add some comic relief, I'd like to quote a few sentences from the little pamphlet included in the box, serving as a manual of sorts:"...during discharging, the data from 10% jump to 0%, this is normal" "...charge the battery fully during 2 days after the battery power off. Otherwise, the battery will be damaged and can not be charged any more." "When the battery is used for long time ... (valid for 2 years) please do not use it any more to avoid of the risk of fire or explosion." In fateful conclusion, this product is a golden sample of the state of battery quality control: low energy capacity, unsteady voltage, and a promise of fire or explosion. It's not DOA, a single charge lasted
