This was a Christmas present for my grandson. He likes it but, the punching ball could be bigger. And the bottom could be more wider. It falls over to easily. Each time he hits it, the thing falls over. And yes it is filled with sand.

I got this boxing set for my boys. I have boys ages 5, 7, 14, and 16 I thought they would enjoy this gift. Get some of that extra energy out. From the picture it looks as if older kids can use it too, but I wouldn't recommend for kids older than 8. It's not as heavy duty looking as the picture makes it look. The gloves are on the smaller side as well. They didn't fit my 14 or 16 year old. Other than the age thing, and the kind of misleading pictures, my younger boys love it. It's nice that the height is adjustable so my 5 and 7 year old can both use it. The bottom can be filled with sand or water. We just filled it with water and it keeps it pretty stable. The red and black target ball is smaller than what it looks in the picture as well. It's almost like the scale of the kid vrs. Boxing target is off in the picture. The kid looks smaller and the boxing target looks bigger. The red and black boxing target is a blow up target. You just inflate with air. Make sure to not blow it up too tight, because that may cause it to pop. The red and black target is made out of the same pleather like material that the gloves are. Which to me makes the target a little sturdier and less likely to pop. Overall this toy was decent, but only for younger kids. It is not top notch quality, but it's also not complete crappy quality. I'd say it's in the middle of the quality spectrum. Id also say it's at a good price point, because it includes the gloves.

We got this to help our kids get some energy out during the winter. The punching bag is easy to set up and of decent quality, and my ten and seven-year-olds both enjoy using it.The quality is good, and it is a beginner set that isn't built for professional training. Yet, it's held up to both kids wailing on it for the past two weeks.If you're looking for something that's pro-level practicing, this isn't the kit for you, but for amateurs that want to have something to hit occasionally, this is a great option, and I wouldn't hesitate to share it with others to get some aggression out.Be sure to weigh down the base. Otherwise, it'll go flying when it gets hit. The initial setup took approximately 5 minutes.
