The strap pulls out, making it difficult to put on. Then too the velcro sometimes folds under. Yet these are my go to shoes. very comfortable on and off the bike

I onl had 2 small issues with these shoes (after my first use). I replaced a pair of Carnac Ellipses with these shoes, hoping they had a tall and wide toe box. I was not disappointed with the fit in the forefoot, especially after adding a pair of orthotic arch supports (Superfeet), which had very little added volume in the forefoot. The insoles that came with the shoes offered very little arch support, especially for someone with high arches - easily surmountable problem. The second issue is getting used to the way the upper fits. These shoes do not have any padding under the tongue of the shoe, and you have to be careful about making sure the entire tongue is under the sides of the shoe when putting them on and tightening the Velcro straps. Will have to wait and see about how they last - my Carnacs were over 10 years old, more than 10,000km!

I wear a size 11 in dress shoes and 11.5 in athletic shoes. 3 months ago I got another manufacturer's cycling shoes in size 12 (46 EU) and they were too small and way too tight in the toe box. I did the research and settled on these shoes because the toe box was to be more roomy. I ordered a size 12 (46 EU) however it was too large. So I ordered the size 11 (45 EU) and it came the other day. It too is a little too large. The toe box is good. I have yet to try them out. I am reluctant to order size down that it may be too small. But, I may just have too. I do like the fit though.

I’ve never purchased bike shoes, so I don’t have a comparison, but I think these work fine for a spin bike and the price was reasonable compared to others. We recently bought a Peloton bike. My wife took the pair that came with the bike (in accessory credit). I was looking for a less expensive option considering how much we’re paying for the Peloton. These were $45 less than Peloton’s shoes, but seem similar to me. They seem to run a bit small. I thought they’d be a bit too big on me, but they just fit. The width seems okay because the Velcro can be easily loosened. My foot runs a bit wide (not EEE) and these fit fine in width. So overall I’m perfectly happy with this purchase for a spin bike, but I can’t opine on real bike use or otherwise compare them to other spin shoes.
