Decent soft close, instructions are trash but once you get it where you need it works fine and there’s a lifetime warranty so can’t beat that

Used 2 for a 3/4 x 22 x 46 inch oak hope chest lid. Hold open feature works great but only slightly slows closing of lid even with adjustment turned to strongest position. So moderately satisfied but think I’ll still have to be alert with the kids. If using on toy box your lid will need to be lighter than oak.

As a youth, I spent my early years working in my father's cabinet shop, and have excellent skills in that area. But these items simply do not work as soft-closure devices at all. Instructions are very confusing. Measurements are in millimeters instead of inches. I bought two of these to soften the closure on a toddlers large toybox. They were insufficient to do the job. It still slams together too fast to protect little fingers. Adjustment to soften the closure are maxed out without being effective.

They appear very easy to install, even though there is not a clear instruction guide with them. The one here on the amazon app if you swipe through the pictures is blurry, and not very detailed. However if you are using them for your build it should be easy, but two problems. It doesn't come with washers or lock washers, and mine don't soft close at all!!! As a matter of fact they slam shut, watch your fingers for the close. I have already tried tightening and loosening what they label as the "adjustable screw", they do nothing so I guess they are bad or mislabeled.
