The Bad: The knees do not hold up to sliding at all and the entire seam on the knee ripped during his last game. I expected a lot more for $90 keeper pants.The Good: The padding on the hips has been wonderful for helping soften the landing when making big dives.

Unwearable. Ordered twice in two sizes and still impossible to get onto my child who is the size of a small stick figure.

My son trains 3 days a week on a synthetic field and used to get badly bruised and nasty abrasions. Now he uses these he is far less hesitant to dive as he knows he won’t get hurt as bad. He loves them.

Very nice set of pants. The fabric is quite breathable and fits very well. The toughened/ abrasion resistant patches on the knees are pretty good, slippery and rugged, but I wouldn't have minded a bit of cushion for the knee too, in addition to the hip pads. That said, if you really want knee pads you could strap those on over the top I suppose. Also these pants have a pocket for a cup/groin protector, just like the shin guard pockets, which I wasn't aware of from the online description. Seems like that might be advisable.
