Well made and work great. Easy enough for an adult to use one-handed but impossible for a toddler who can get out of most everything else.

Lamentablemente no se ajustó al maneral de mi puerta de baño. El plástico se ve resistente, es algo grande pero no creo que le quite estética. La chapa de mi baño no tiene un diseño completo, deberían de dar mejores especificaciones para saber si se va a adaptar a la puerta.

I actually bought this item not as a childproof lock, but as a "fake" door lock, and it worked perfectly! To clarify, I went on a long-term vacation and had a pet sitter (who I hadn't worked with before) visiting my place every other day to take care of my pets, and I wanted a deterrent to put on my bedroom door (lots of valuables in my closet and I didn't want to think about it) on the off chance that this person was shady in any way. This was a great option that didn't involve actual locking, but at least gave off the image that the room was not accessible. The fact that it has a decoy "button" that doesn't work is a plus so it can be at least a little confusing even for adults.**IMPORTANT NOTES: Do NOT leave the lock even slightly engaged (in the locked position) if you are on the other side of the door (AKA the opposite side/room of where the lock is placed). You'd be putting yourself at risk for accidentally locking yourself in a room (because the door handle will not be able to turn all the way on the way out, effectively making the door nearly impossible to open), and if you live alone and happen to lock yourself in without your phone and in a room without windows... you're kind of screwed unless someone comes to find you lol. It's something I realized as I was going in and out of the door this was installed on, so PLEASE take care not to do that.The biggest caveat here is that removal is a little bit of a pain, and because of it, the lock isn't necessarily reusable without some kind of reapplication of adhesive. Because the adhesive is so strong (which is what makes this lock appealing in the first place), you have to heat up the bottom of the lock with a hair dryer and then use either a butter knife (so you don't scratch your door; anything sharper would be risky) or a long, strong piece of dental floss to pull it off the door. I was able to get it off without issue (no damage or significant residue), but it did take a decent amount of effort and muscle to get it off, probably 15-20 mins altogether.All in all, the locking mechanism is really great and does its job perfectly, but be aware that removal will not be extremely easy.

We have lever style door handles and our two grandsons who are nearing 3 years old can now quickly open our exterior doors and dart out. We needed a solution. These Safety 1st lever handle locks work great. They have 3M adhesive so installation is super easy and does not require any hardware or holes. They are secure and the little guys are no longer able to open the door if the locks are engaged. My daughter has had these installed at her house for about 6 months and they are working great; her son hasn't been able to figure out the trick to open them. For adults, it is pretty easy to press both the buttons simultaneously and then move the lower lever on the lock down which then allows the door handle to operate as normal. The only watch out is that when this device is in the locked position, the door can NOT be opened from outside. We haven't needed to remove one of these from a door yet, but with the 3M adhesive, I predict it will remove without any damage to the door finish. I am very impressed with this product.

El pegamento que trae es muy resistente aunque podría dañar la pintura de la puerta si decides moverlo a otra

Súper útil ahora que adopte un nuevo gato, para su etapa de adaptación con los demás 🙌🏻 Me sirvió mucho para mi propia paz mental a la hora de bajar o salir de casa, después de un tiempo aprendieron a “tocar” la manija, sabiendo q de ahí se abría pero aún sin realmente lograrlo, así que para no arriesgarnos 😁
