Installed on my 2015 Jeep JK Unlimited. OEM hinges were worn out and allowed my tailgate to rattle terribly. Factory original tire carrier with this hinge holds my 33” BFGs on 17 inch rims nicely.A little “stiff” closing, but super smooth and will probably loosen up with use.Highly recommend. Easy to install, use wood wedges to support tailgate while removing old hinges and installing new, stayed perfectly aligned for me.

This HD tire carrier mount is solid and easily holds my 35" spare. I installed it completely on my own and installation was very straight forward and easy. Thought I was going to have to replace the whole tailgate but this fixed it! No more metal popping sound over any bumps in the road.

I installed this on my JKU and it eliminated the rattle from the tailgate, due to oversize wheels & tire.I can't comment on the longevity of this product, as a sold that Jeep shortly after installing this!It was well packaged, sturdy, and the coating was of high quality. Install took less than an hour on my own, the toughest part was putting the spare back on! The hinges were stiffer than stock, but I didn't have it long enough to see if they freed up at all. Great purchase and good looking tire carrier.
