I liked not having to dig in the bottle to be out pickles.

These are one of the coolest impulse buys I’ve ever made! The picture of product is deceptively small. They actually hold a lot. Each jar will hold a full quart of olives or a full quart of hamburger dill slices. A jar will hold about 3/4 of a quart of baby dill pickles. I will be ordering more for my pickle and olive loving friends and family! If I were to change anything, I would make the top and bottom lids a screw on type. The ones that come with it now, work just fine, but I can see someone in my household not putting it on tightly enough and leaving a mess in my fridge.

We eat a lot of picked and fermented foods, some homegrown/preserved, some not. So when I saw this nifty invention, I wanted to give it a try.It works as advertised. The top and bottom silicon lids stay on tightly with no leaks. The inside strainer gasket stays put and strains the brine as it should. It's easy to reach in and grab a pickle without getting brine all over your hands, or reach a fork or spoon into the container and scoop out all what you want without getting the juice all over. There are only 2 little issues. The silicon lids take a little extra effort to put on and take off, and they must be put on correctly or you will have a huge mess on your hands. Also, if you put a smaller jar of something in this, such as I did for this review, because of the width of the jar, the brine won't cover your food. There is a pint jar of pickles in this container for the picture. The retail price at the time of this review is $15.29. This is a little pricey, in my opinion. The jar is fairly thin glass - thinner than a regular pickle jar. If this is dropped in a sink it's going to break. One could spend the money for this jar only to drop it in the sink during the first wash, and it would be all over. However, if you're willing to make the gamble, and pay the price, you won't be disappointed with the performance. It works as advertised. Four stars.
