My son locked himself out of his house and we had to pry open the lock on the MDF door. This left a terrible mess! I called around to see how much a new door would cost and there were quotes between $2,200-2,600!. Jumped on Amazon and found this product. Easy ro install and looks great. TIP: you may need larger screws for your lockset as the sleeve adds about a 1/8 of an inch to the door. I would recommend this product!

I was planning to replace the door due to cracking at the area of the latch assembly but found this product on Amazon. I chose to glue the entire piece into place with a 2 part metal glue which worked very well to counter strength lost due to the cracks. Don’t actually need the screws either as it finished stronger than new. I also primed and painted it the same as the rest of the door and it is barely noticeable as a repair.

needs to change the way the corners are bent to give the metal more room to flow around the corners of the door. Pus it needs more holes at the outside edges. I had to modify it slightly for this reason. and it could be one size thicker for most door spacing.

Had to condo basement doors that had been kicked in and cracked at the striker causing the striker to be loose and move around . This fixed the problem with out having to replace the doors ,also its stronger should it get kicked again ,threaded machine screws versus wood or sheet metal screws is way more secure . It's not very often I write good stuff about products but these products are awesome
