Tanto los modelos Battalion II Inshore como Surf vienen equipados con guías Fuji Alconite y un asiento de carrete Fuji.

This is my fist Fathom 2. I have a Fathom 25 that’s an about six years old now and is still working flawlessly. The drag is smooth and strong, the clicker is loud, and everything is precise, making it feel like a very expensive reel. I also recently ordered the Fathom low pro 300 and it is also a very fine reel.

A very smooth quality reel for bottom fishing. Cast well and very smooth! Best rockfish reel I have!

I recently purchased my second Penn Fathom 25N. I've used these reels exclusively for jigging bluefish and striped bass...casting and retrieving jigs from 3-6 oz. After seeing a video review shortly after the reels were introduced, I thought they would be perfect in this application. I fish two or three times a week during the season, so any defects or imperfections were sure to surface. I needed to redo the drag on the first reel last year...this was not a problem in that I have alot of experience with Penn and Newell drags...and I applied a white grease to new washers which were readily available on line. A problem with the eccentric lever loosening occured on both reels this year. The screw holding this in the eccentric jack backed out despite being tightened down repeatedly. I finally needed to replace the lever on one reel and then I applied some removable lock tight....so far so good.These reels are extremely smooth and have absolutely the best free spool I've experienced in a star drag reel. I have 30# test on one and 40# on the other, and despite their high speed retrieve (6:l) they have excellent cranking power. Considering their price and the competition, they represent excellent value in this class.
