The housing requires a good amount of force to split and can easily be bent in the process. A bit of gentle prying at the edges helped to open it with minimal bending of the metal... not a huge deal, at least it's metal. Connecting the mSATA drive to the board was straight-forward. However, the main issue is that the board is "secured" to one half of the case with nothing more than a small piece of double-sided tape. This is all fine and dandy until you snap it all together and try to plug the thing into something. The tape is not sufficient to hold the board in place during this process. The tape will let go and the board will slide back into the housing as there is no mechanical provision to secure the board. I only needed to connect it to a SATA/USB3 pigtail adapter so I was able to do so by leaving the top half of the housing off while connecting the adapter and snapping the top of the housing on afterwards. This may be more of a chore for those who are hoping to connect theirs to an actual 2.5in drive slot depending on the orientation of the plug. That said, this device does work as expected once you get it connected properly.

I ordered it Sunday afternoon and by Monday evening it was delivered to me. Works amazing. Will purchase again if ever I need another micro ssd converter
