I bought this as a craft project to do with my granddaughters ages 7 and 10. None of us had never felted before. We have so much fun. There is ample amount of materials and the girls made more kittens. The needles are sharp and you do need to be careful. The 10 y/o poked her finger then paid closer attention. I would do this again.

Review for: Ragdoll Cat, Garfield & Tiger Cat Needle Felting Starter KitA month or so ago I tried needle felting for the first time. I wasn’t really sure how to start the project or what to do. I finally managed to make the cat. I had some wool left over so I made a 2nd cat. It was much easier after I did the first. I saw this kit and decided to give it a try once more. I am still a basic beginner but at the same time it is a fun project to make. This kit included everything you need to make 3 cat key chains. Instructions are included The instructions with this kit are easier for me to understand.The one issue I have with these kits is that the instructions say to use the needle (39 gauge star) or use needle (42 gauge star) but the needles are not marked. the only difference I can see between the needles is that one is shorter than the other. So I just pick one and hope it is the correct needle to use.As for recommendations. the felting needles are very sharp. I don’t think these kits would be good for younger children to make unless they had adult supervision. Adults and Teens would most likely enjoy making these cats.
