Easily adapt the derailleur clamp to the tube. They slipped around and trying to adjust the derailleur position with the shims in place took a little bit of patience, but they did the job. I finally put some thin double-stick tape to hold it in place while I adjusted the position of the derailleur

Spaced a Shimano Sora fd down to fit an old steel frame. Had to install what some might consider "upside down" to fit the shape of the derailleur clamp, but it worked perfectly, so I consider it a perfect fit!

Mounted these on a 88 Trek 560 using a Shimano braze on adapter and they scratched my paint down to the bare metal. Didn't have the problem when I used the Shimano shims that I lost that came with the adapter. They worked fine shifting and holding the derailleur on but gouged the Imron paint.
