The original tip broke at the threaded section, probably due to years of sustaining the pressure of the paint roller against the surface being painted. Was a bit tight fitting this new threaded tip to my painting pole - had use some silicon lubricant and tap on with a hammer using a block of wood as cushioning, then drill new holes and insert the rivets. But all went well and rather than having to replace the entire telescopic painting pole, it's now repaired and full functional again, at a much lesser cost than a replacement pole.Plus I have a spare threaded tip for the future if the new one ever breaks.These new threaded tips appear to be very robust, so overall very happy with this purchase and recommend to anyone needing to make the same repair.
