It took me a minute, and looking at other reviews - once I figured out you match the numbers to the colors - you're in. Far less expensive option than replacing the much loved fan you installed years ago. Remove the broken switch, note the numbers that correspond with the color of the wires to the original fan - then match up with the numbers showing on the replacement switch - it's just that easy. ten bucks - two hundred bucks. Easy decision.

Used to replace broken pull switch on a Hunter fan. The replacement unit has the same markings on the wire locations as the broken switch (1,2,3,L). The wires are pre-stripped. Simply pull out the #1 wire on the broken switch and use a wire nut (not included) to splice to the #1 wire on the new. Repeat for the other three, then put the fan back together. All together, took about 10 minutes start to finish.

The only thing I didn't love about this part was having to use the Amazon photos to figure out the color combination to my Hunter fan. That's not the seller's fault, but the manufacturer doing something different than competition. The colors didn't match entirely, but using the guide in the listing, I was able to fully fix and replace the pull on my home fan unit. I threaded the wires together after cutting/stripping the old part out. I also used heat shrink tubes for insulation and to keep it all together. Easy and quick fix, if you have the right tools. I used electrician's clippers for this. Make sure you don't drop little wires on the floor, they poke and hurt. Good luck!
