These bend very easily. Don't waste your money.

Bought these to supplement the steaks that came with the tent. I used these to hold down the rain fly and a few odds and ends on the trial. Strong, next to no weight. Only downside is that they are tiny, and if the "string" from whatever it is you tie off on it comes off, hard to find in the dirt /leaves.

I have used these for over a year with great success. Last week I experienced extremely high winds 35-45mph and these little stakes did not give at all. Because they are so thin, they slip into the ground easy and I rarely need a rock or hammer. I’m sure they would bend if you hammered into a rock, but I’ve had much larger stakes also bend in the right conditions. 8 stakes =44g

Great value. Strong as you would expect for size.

I carry both msr groundhog type stakes as well as these on my backpacking trips. so far, I had no need to use msr stakes.compared to msr groundhog type stakes these stakes are lot easier to use and hold well. I rarely have to use rocks to hammer them into ground as I do with groundhogs.these are lot easier to clean up after use since wet dirt or clay rarely stick to them and if they do I can easily slide them off with some leaves or my fingers unlike those multi sided stakes which are also at times hella hard to pull out.these stakes are thin and way lighter than other stakes yet plenty strong.the only gripe I have is they can be hard to spot if left on ground therefore lost. i highly recommend you tie a thin neon colored elastic cord or any other means so that you can spot them easily.
