The foot works well sewing bias tape onto an edge. You cannot start at the very beginning, but once the bias is secured, you can go back to the beginning.

I love sewing, but never liked buas tape binding so I always avoided any projects which requires double fold bindings but I wanted to give this presser foot a try. Initially, I thought the presser foot looks flimsy and concerned me, however It fits my Brother sewing machine just like any other presserfoot I have and once you get a hang of the adjustment, it actually works so well. You just need to try out with some scrap fabrics to find the exact position of the foot itself in relation to where you want your stitches to be, and figure out just the perfect tightness of the binding hold so the fabric and bias binding can move forward freely as you sew them but do not move sideways in the plastic casing. Took me a few tries but now I think this little gadget just opened up a new sewing potential for me.
