I've always wanted one of these. I like that it comes with a measuring cup too. This works great for something you'll use repeatedly so you can keep it full like cereal, trail mix, nuts for example. We use it for cereal because it's easy for my kids to use, and we keep their favorite one in this one, so we can fill it a few times without washing it.

I go through a lot of lentils. They are a pain to store! They always come in a bag. So I gave this dispenser a shot and I'm glad I did! I can meter out the amount of lentils I want to cook for any given meal. The knob that releases the lentils does a reliable job controlling the amount of food that comes out. And I love the cup that catches them as they come out. There's a really cool function in that the cup nests onto the bottom of the dispenser - kind of defying gravity. Very cool.This dispenser is very attractive. It's so tall - I love the way it saves space. It's also a very solid build. This seems like something that could be used in a high-traffic situation, like for dispensing coffee beans in a coffee shop.

I always wanted one of these for the downstairs counter so I could grab a quick snack. Currently, my snack of choice is in-shell pistachios. This dispenser works great for these and does a much better job dishing out a sensible portion than I do pouring directly from the bag.One thing to note. The item description calls out 16.54" assembled height of the dispenser. Guess who has their cabinets mounted at 16.5" height above their counter? Yup, it's me and the manufacturer's measurement specification is right on the money. The assembled dispenser is just a shade too tall to slide under the full length cabinets. Luckily we also have some 3/4 height cabinets over the sink area with extra counter space on either side of the sink. The dispenser fits quite well in this spot. You may want to verify your cabinet height before ordering.The dispenser cleans easily. Dries quickly. Assembles as per the instructions with no issues unless you have overly large hands and difficulty inserting the rotor.The base is sturdy and heavy enough to stabilize the dispenser in use. The bottom of the base has 4 rubber feet to protect your counter top and also keep the base from sliding around when filling/using the dispenser.Even with the large in shell nuts, the flexible rotor blades still turn easily. If I sense any resistance with the rotor, a small reverse turn clears things right up. Two blade drops and I've got my sensible portion.

We are using this dispenser with oatmeal. It works perfectly for that purpose. The package includes a handy measuring cup that fits perfectly under the dispenser. The dispenser is easy to turn. We would recommend this product.

Assembled the whole dispenser in a snap. Parts can be disassembled almost just as quickly for hand washing with soap, which I did before initial use. Be sure the container and the internal parts are completely dry before filling up, because parts of my oatmeal were wet mush sticking to the walls and in between the blades.The rotating “blade” part is soft bendable silicone, inconveniently allowing small items like oatmeal to slip through the crevices when refilling the container. Wouldn’t be a problem if the next line of defense, the bottom lid, works as it should right? Well, not sure if I got a dud but the bottom lid does not screw on tight! It only sort of pops in loosely. Just lightly tapping on this lid will lead it to pop back out on its own along with spilling out the contents! Now it comes with a measuring cup and here’s what I like about this. The cup snaps onto the bottom of the dispenser so you don’t misplace it, and it also serves to cover the bottom opening much better than the bottom lid ever could.The metal stand is sturdy and doesn’t take up much space. The plastic container has labelled increment markings but weirdly no measurement units. In conclusion, this dispenser is not great for small morsels. It works best for bigger foods such as cereals and pasta which will stay better ABOVE the blade to avoid spillage. The only troublesome part is the inability of the bottom lid to screw onto the lower end. The fault lies either in the silicone ring of the lid not being thick enough or the diameter of the bottom opening is just a few millimeters off the mark.
