We used these pants on a cold day on the beach in Ireland and they worked great. The tide had gone out and our 2 1/2 year old wanted to jump in puddles-what 2 year old doesn't?! Despite having rainboots and a raincoat on, when he jumped, it splashed his pants. Dad said if he got his pants wet, we'd have to leave and head straight home (it was too cold to let him sit around in wet pants). Luckily, I remembered I had these in the car and ran to get them. They were perfect! He was free to be a 2 year old splashing through puddles and falling down in the wet sand. At the end, we pulled off his boots, pants and jacket and he had dry clothes underneath.These will be great for preschool in the fall, where they encourage outdoor play as long as it's not raining heavily (or snowing).
