Upon unboxing, the best surprise was that the reducers from 3/4" faucet hookup to 1/2" pipe thread were included. I was able to hook up to hot and cold plastic pex pipe easily. The shower unit was installed in a vintage era farm house to replace plumbing that was installed in the 1920s. I was able to drill two holes above the original faucets using a 1 1/4" hole saw which allowed the hookup/reducers to be placed through the wall. I installed new 1/2" plastic pex piping to eliminate having to use the very old rusted metal pipes. Having a little extra space in the holes allowed the fittings to have enough extra room to ensure the 6" spacing measurement would not have to be exact. After the new pex plumbing was hooked up to the faucets it was time to install the shower and sprayer pieces. The only intimidating part is having to extend the vertical shower pipe. With the proper amount of pulling force applied, the pipe finally did extend. Anyone with basic plumbing skills should be able to install this exposed pipe shower. The brass finish looks great in the vintage bathroom!

I only have one issue. The error was totally on me. The wall bracket pipe is too short. I actually need 12 inches. Hopefully the company can create one for me. The shower head is a good size. Heavy and affects th rise staying firmly attached to its lower body part. It could stand to have the ability to twist further into the riser for a more secure fit. Without the wall bracket attached the riser will not remain on the base. It feels as if it will snap. Other than that issue it is beautiful. Will post pics once officially completed

I like it but it has a few flaws for old tubs it should come with a back washer to hold it tight against tub the valve holes are really big on tub so I had to buy washer to keep it from falling thru .have a longer support rod for shower rod going up we are not short folks I have ordered the extension rod . Also need the support bracket longer they don’t compensate for the fact faucet sits farther away from wall with bath tub . I will have to come up with something to hold it to wall the shower head that is . I hope it last just be gentle with it .so I added adapter because I have the tub that has the 3 inch holes and a brass washer with a toilet hose because it had flanges and that helps . I HATE PLUMBING. But no one wants small jobs so what do you do . Fix it yourself. I hope this helps other .
