Great for spiked mountain bike pedals. Feet are a little sore from break in period. Fits true to Adidas sizing.

I switched from a pair of Fiveten Freeriders to these. They're the same stickiness but slightly stiffer souls and the added benefit of water resistance. I didn't find them to be substantially hotter than the freeriders. The insoles are far better and actually fit your foot like a normal shoe. The Free riders I thought always felt a little lacking in this department. The DLX is perfect for those slightly longer rides and keep your feet from hurting.

I've been buying 5.10 shoes since forever (for climbing, it's true) and they never let me down - they were always high quality and perfect fit.Now these ... are bad:- Fit big: I usually wear 10.5 so I ordered 10.5 but they feel like 11.5 - should have ordered 9.5.- Stiff at the bending line, to the point of causing pain. Stiff shoes are good for mountain biking in general, but should not cause pain. Front side of foot sits on pedal (duuh) so how the shoe bends while pedaling is one of the most important things that biking shoes need to get right - these don't.Materials seem good but fit and design are a mockery of the 5.10 name.

The very best shoes for flat pedals. As close as you can get to being clipped without being clipped. Very comfortable shoes as well!
