Works perfectly. I use it as a puffer when I want to conceal smoking the pot.

Filter fits most commonly available masks (NATO and many industrial masks). It seems to do a good job, but I wouldn't want to trust it for life or death needs.Filter has a 5 year shelf life and was most of the way through 1 year from manufacture when I got it, so it would last about 4 more years unopened.The filter seals well and seems to be capable of filtering properly. I haven't cut it open, but the advertised prefilter/charcoal/postfilter construction is similar to that used by other masks.Good choice for household needs, but I'd pick something better for anything else.

Ordered this filter to add to my bail out pack. As a prepper, its good to be ready for the next emergency or catastrophe.The filter was made last year (China) and has a five year expiry, but consider that it should be vacuum packed to reach this lifespan.I tried it in my Polish MP5 Gas Mask and a Russian Civilian GP-5 Gas Mask and it threaded fine on both, with a good seal.These filters should be OK for prevention of Organic Vapor, Paint, Spray, Dust, Epoxy Resin, Welding and other light chemical intoxication. They are not intended against radioactive and biological warfare agents.Hope this review is helpful.

This 40mm filter fits all masks that accept a 40mm filter. It came shrink wrapped and boxed. My filter is marked with a May 2022 production date and says the expiration date is 5 years. It's made of plastic instead of metal, but that doesn't bother me. It's not cheap/thin plastic. If I slam my face into anything hard enough to damage this filter, I think I'm going to have bigger problems.I haven't disassembled it but if you shake it you can hear the loose activated charcoal inside. These are sold for organic vapor use, not NBC use. Although I would certainly use this for NBC if I had nothing else available. When using with organic vapors, expect this filter to reduce but not remove the vapors completely. It's an entry level filter, not a high end air purification device. I think it works fine with the proper expectations.

Dodarhip 40mm Gas Mask Filters - Full Face Respirator Mask Cartridge for Organic Vapor,This product was a direct replacement for my 40mm gas mask. The canister comes vacuum sealed with the production date and expiration date on it. The canister I received was manufactured last year with a 5 year expiration date.The product screwed into my gas mask without any issues. While using this product, I did not smell any foul odors and it has effectively blocked the toxic gasses I was working with.This product works exactly as advertised and at a great price. I feel safe using this product and I recommend it for use.
