These pins are perfect for my homemade quilt design/wall basting board. Just the right length to go into the backer board from the hardware store. So many for a low price!

I use these to decorate ornaments made with fabric on a styrofoam base, and they are sturdy and able to pierce several layers of fabric. Sometimes I make them permanent by adding a bit of hot glue to the metal pin before inserting it. I am now on my third box, and will order again. The pearl bead is nicely finished and about 3 to 4mm in size. You can see them here in my photo.

I was using them for a project to hold art on the wall and couldn’t get them to go in the wall. But I suspect they are great for materials.
