Used to drill through rail road ties. Kept breaking installer bits. This worked great the carbide cutting face drilled quick and cut down on heat. Not the intended purpose, but if anyone needs to tie raid road ties together with rebar this bit works great.

Great bit! Works like a charm. The length (18") allows me to drill from the exterior all the way through to inside to install cable.

Went through a concrete wall and brick exterior like a hot knife through butter.

Kind of my fault. In about section of this product it states "Three flats on shank eliminate bit slipping in chuck (except DW5232, DW5233, DW5237, DW5238)" I have had issues in the past with the bit slipping and I prefer this type.Of course in the Shank Type it is listed as "Round". So I guess it is technically correct but are lying in the about section? I just wish I didn't buy the wrong drill bit......especially at this price. Am I missing something?

Saves 30% buying used. It’s fine because I only have to use it a half dozen times. The quality of the product is very good.
