The heads start to fray a little on first use. The trouble is, better quality mallets are very expensive.

I work playing in a crossover band and we recently started playing in a high end hotel. I had built myself a couple of mallets but I thought I could buy real mallets to look more professional. They completely fulfill that purpose. Good for cymbal swells and playing around the toms and snare. Very light and comfortable. But most importantly: they look much more professional than the ones I had before.

The Performer Series PST3 Timpany have a great feel to them and are well balanced
