Over decades of cycling i have tried all manor of chamois and bib from the cheapest to the gold standard (assos and Rapha) and I keep coming back to two conclusion 1) it seems ridiculous that a good bib short should cost 150 dollars and more and 2) Cheap bib shorts just don't hold a candle. So, Ill feel the allure of an inexpensive product and give it a shot which is how i came to this short by risesbek. I like the cargo shorts with side pockets but I have not idea why one would use the back strap pockets. This is my sweatiest zone and i typically have more accessible jersey pockets here so those extra pockets seem like overkill, but maybe some will find them really useful. But that's a personal preference. On to the bibs. Straight away I could tell the stitching is pretty weak on these shorts. I have assos bibs with a decade on them and while the chamois is starting to look like well worn carpet, the stitching is stil solid and the bibs still hold form. I doubt the stitching on these bibs will hold up more than a years worth of riding. And the chamois. It seems that the cheaper bib makers are starting to put a lot into a chamois that looks well designed but is poorly thought out. The bubbles and ridges of this bright teal chamois look like they were designed with ergonomic purpose in mind but once on just press against the body in weird ways like a poorly designed massage wand.the out fabric easily moves out of sync with the chamois and this is a sure fire recipe for friction. Also, the leg grippers are overly tight.I did an hour and a half trainer ride and while he bib was not noticeably uncomfortable it certainly doesnt disappear. The straps felt a little itchy and the leg section cet in a bit. The chamois performed ok, but I did more adjusting than usual. Id say this might be a decent single season bib, but I wouldnt expect more. So, Im back to the place I always get and realize that I should have saved this money and put it towards a garneau, Pearl Izumi, or better yet, Rapha or Assos.Of the three touch points on a bike, the bib is protecting my favorite part and I imagine most riders would agree. Save your money, buy better shorts.

No había terminado de sacarlo de la bolsa cuando vi los hoyos en el tirante.

I bought these bibs so I could wear a mountain biking jerseys while road bike cycling and still have pockets to store my wallet, keys, and cell phone. They are terrifically designed; the rise above the waist in the front is low enough to allow you to pee without taking off a jersey, shoulder straps, etc. Most bibs feel like an acrobatic exercise to use the rest room, these ones don't.

Used this bib during a DC to Washington State bike ride. Very comfortable, the extra pockets were very useful. I still use them at my weekly local rides. Fit is true to size, I got a Large and it was perfect.

I’m liking the bibs so far, chamois works well for me and the quality and construction seem solid for the price!Only issue is I used the size guide and it put me at a 3xl, I thought that seemed excessive and bought a XXL and it was still tooo large. XL works well for me and my 6’2” 180lb skinny-fat build.
