These chairs was pretty easy to put together and are sturdy. Glad to have bought them to replace the set I had.

I purchased this set of 4 chairs about a month ago and I'm very happy with them. The light oak and dark gray cushions fit perfectly into my dining room's aesthetic. The chairs arrived well-packaged, and assembly was straightforward. As other reviews mentioned, may have to use some elbow grease for the screws that attach the legs, but it didn't require any extra drilling. Quality chairs with no wobble. Overall, these chairs are a fantastic blend of style, comfort, and durability. They're exactly what I was looking for to complete my dining space.

These chairs are a good value, but can be challenging to assemble since four of the screws require being screwed into the wood without a pilot hole which is very hard to do. It is MUCH easier if you follow this handyman tip: Before assembly, rub the long screws on a bar of soap to get a bit of the soap on the threads. This will make them easy to screw in rather than requiring a strong wrist and brut force!

You get what you pay for of course. I didn't expect these chairs to actually be nice furniture. In terms of appearance and functionality they are ok. The assembly though is as bad - perhaps worse - than some of the other reviews that I've read. I don't believe that the designer has ever had to assemble one of these chairs. I will say nicer things about Ikea after this. I could assemble five of their chairs in the time it took to assemble one of these. Problems: 1. no starter / alignment holes for the wood scrrews, 2. the routed out pockets for the front leg bolts are so deep that you can't start the bolts with your fingers: you have to use the Allen key, but the pocket edges only allow for about a 1/8 turn at a time, so it takes a long long time to get the fine threaded bolts snugged. It becomes even harder once the seat is screwed in place. 3. their prescribed method for aligning - levelling the chair frame is to drop it from a height of 30 cm to 50 cm (that's about a foot and a half) until any wobble is out. Then you tighten all the fasteners. I think that placing the chair on a level surface and sitting on it works better. As for the final tightening see complaint #2. Again, the chairs will do as long as quality expectations are reasonable, but they sure could take some tips from Ikea on assembly methods. They must have let an intern design this, or maybe they gave a monkey a box of pencils.
