Purchased for 2023 mercury 50. It does not use the full sweep on the gauge. Full trim down shows 1/4 up, and it only reads to 3/4 trim in the full up position.

The online instruction (identified as 106-00169-01-ECH) identify that this unit should be able to be reprogrammed for both direction of needle movement and range of motion (full up/full down). The unit I received had different instructions (identified as 106-00152-03-ECH) which permitted only reprogramming the direction of needle only, not the range of motion. Useless for me - only 25% of range for the full trim range of my Mercruser Bravo III. I tried to program using the online instructions but that does not work. Only programs the way the included instructions say. Returning this unit tomorrow.It does look just like the picture, and looks to be well made, but is useless to me if I cannot have the full range indicated on the gauge.

Ordered to replace stock one on my boat when i found that the gauge reads backwords and not accurate at all as shown in pictures bottom gauge is this one and top is new stock gauge with trim up it showes down and down showed up with trim half way it also showed down.
