Very nice and comfy but they did have a short break in period. I have arthritis in my feet and am very picky about the boots I wear. I did order a half size larger than normal as i wear heavy socks and my feet tend to swell before my 12 hour shifts are up. Ariat's are the best, i just wish the soles lasted longer! Also, with boot cut jeans, they make my size 9s look smaller.

I went a half size up for some wiggle room- it was a good call! The slit is deep so I have no difficulty squatting/kneeling with my thick calves. It's sewn around the ankle instead of the bridge of your foot so that helps with mobility as well. I walk an average of 10,000 steps a day and my feet feel like they got a hard-core massage instead of swelling and throbbing but that could also be because of the cushioned mesh socks I wear.. which I also recommened to pair with boots so you don't rub holes in your socks. The pads of my feet to the top arch in my foot need more support when wearing these. Also to note, I stand on concrete at work. The leather is durable but breaks in after just a day! It's also hard to roll your ankle in these with the way it's sewn. You won't be disappointed! Just be sure to get gel boot insoles and sturdy crew socks to pair them with.

First time for steel toe boots. So they took some getting used to. They seemed tight. At first. But I love them.
