The unit seems to be very well constructed, and has multiple inputs. It was developed as an Android-controlled media computer. So what that means is that when it boots up, it is very much like an android phone or tablet. It boots into the general Android OS - and then you load an app to accomplish your mission. It comes preloaded with Netflix, Youtube, etc. So all that is necessary to use those capabilities is to connect power, connect it to your TV, power it up, and go into setup to connect to your network. You are then able to run any app you want to stream from your desired provider. I imagine that this works fine - but I didn't buy this device for that purpose and didn't test all of this. I can confirm that the device connected easily to my network and displayed a great picture on my TV via the included HDMI cable. But I didn't try streaming - and only viewed the general Android screen.I bought this to play MP3 files from a USB flash drive (that I plugged into it) and output the audio stream via optical cable to my sound system. Here is where things didn't go well. Assuming that the unit could read my flash drive folders and directories (which it initially did), I clicked on a music file to play. What you have to know is that it takes an Android APP to play that file. There are two of these apps loaded onto this unit. But it took me back to the early days of computing because these apps are anything BUT straightforward. Another reviewer said that this unit was not for the faint of heart. This is why. These apps are NOT plug and play and polished like the netflix and youtube apps. You're on the frontier. And I could NOT for the life of me get this thing to play ANY music files, let alone set up and play a playlist. The apps are very complex and not plug and play in any way.But then, as I became aware that I would have to become an expert on Android audio apps (I have since read that VLC is a good candidate for this), I noticed that the unit could not SEE my USB drive any longer. I tried rebooting, shouting, reseating, etc. and the unit no longer knew the flash drive was there. I then moved the flash drive to the other USB port and halleluiah, the unit recognized it. Great. No, wait a minute. After a couple of minutes, the unit could not see the USB drive any longer. So from an audio media player perspective, this thing was just a PITA. Maybe I got a lemon. But even if it magically started loading the USB stick, the next task is to locate, install, and learn how to point the audio app (VLC?) to the audio files - and then play them. One final thing. I don' think this plays WMA files - and others claim they do. I'll check and let you know. But for me, as an audio player, this was a fail. Best of luck!!

This box has no updates, it was last updated in 2021. Netflix, Disney and other apps are not working.I saw the reviews and thought that I can update it..... I still purchased it, waste of cash.

This is a sharp little box, I do mean little in size, it has a ethernet port which I suggest you use just because wired is better. 2 USB ports, a optical audio out, even come with a very short HDMI cable. The remote is a little lacking but you get used to it. Anyway, I used a USB mouse to set it up to make it easier, worked great. It's not totally for the faint hearted, but even those people should be able to make it work. I didn't see any stalling, or freezing.I went in and figured I'd take a chance on this box. Opening it up it felt like a mistake being so small. and then my biggest complaint, no batteries for the remote, it takes 2 AAA batteries.. I was like great, this is gonna be junk. Well I was wrong. It's a nice device, I'll be getting another one or two for the other TV's in the house. It's an android box, has access to the play store, etc..
