I marked 1 star on easy to install because on my mower, the motor had to basically be removed to get to the Starter. I'm sure not all are that way. If I could have gotten to it , installing the starter would have been simple. I put up with what I thought was a weak battery for a long time only to find that the problem was the starter. This starter spins it over the way it is suppose to.

Was gifted a old Craftsman LT1000 with a 19.5 HP engine. This starter fit perfectly. I see in the Craftsman manual there are two versions. This is the shorter one that fits my engine. Took me 30 minutes to install and the mower is back in business. Now getting a good strong crank and not eating starter gears anymore.
