I was already ALL the way into the dryer to replace the heating elements. Figured I would change all the other wear items. Fit great. The old one was shot after 12 years. I put a REALLY thin layer of sticky grease on it. Probably not the right thing to do, but oh well. It works great. Can't even tell the dryer is running anymore.

You're reading this review because you know what this part is. It's the rear bearing support for the dryer drum on your GE dryer. I had clunking noise and the old part had worn the bearing pipe to 1/4" larger diameter than it should be. Of course taking the dryer apart is just time consuming, nothing difficult. Once you get the drum out you can replaced this bearing, but like others have said, the O-ring has to come off the shaft first.. It will be toast! A Danco #7 washer is about 80cents! Do not buy the GE for a lot more money.. other than that, it is the real GE part, at a price no one online could match! Good job Amazon!

Looked into everything to find a fix and this little piece of plastic is all I needed.Takes a little bit of work to get to the part but it’s worth the effort. Saved $$$$If you brake the little clip holding the sleeve in place, Don’t worry. It’s only use was making sure the sleeve stays in place during installation.

My dryer was squeaking so loud we couldn't handle it anymore. After I replaced that, it was like new!

If your squeaking, replacing this is your answer, do yourself a favor and find the replacement o-ring, replace it when you take the old one off to install this one.. remember this, it will make seance later. Also, check your sliders, felt, and check for wear on your top/front bearing aka the 1-2 of the door frame( atleast that’s what I thought it was until I got this thing apart.. this was also the reason my 7 dollar fuse that only exist on GE’s website or on here blew.. All put back together, sounds great, runs great, forgot how quiet it was meant to be..
